"Wonderful place for a romantic and unforgettable holidays in Valencia". We spent a wonderful week at Arhouse Valencia. The rooms are all comfortable, and cosy, as displayed on the pictures. Margarita is a fantastic and warm host and on top, she prepares a delicious breakfast. She has lots of ideas which places to see and restaurants to go to. We came with our 8 month´s old baby and could use the kitchen next door of our room, to prepare food for her at any time.
Can only recommend this place to book for your time in Valencia!

"Wonderful location, wonderful hostess". The Arthouse is a fun, warm, quirky bed and breakfast. It's in a great location which makes it easy to get other places in the city. Best of all, Margarita is a charming hostess who will feed you well and help you with your plans. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning!

"Excellent centrally located hospitality". Valencia Arthouse is perfectly located for experiencing all areas of the city. We were warmly welcomed by Margarita who promptly produced a bottle of Cava for us to share while she outlined the most important places to visit. Our double room with ensuite was clean and comfortable and the main sitting/dining room is decorated in mexican style with many fascinating artefacts. Guests share a large dining table for breakfast which is comprehensive with so many sweet and savoury choices. Conversation with German, American, British and French fellow guests was lively and interesting facilitated by Margarita who is multilingual. We cycled around as bike hire is so easy. Food is reasonably priced. Traditional Flamenco is a must (Margarita will tell you where and when.) i would recommend Valencia to everyone and the Arthouse in particular.

“True hospitality and great location”. Friendly place with warm welcome. Room and bathroom very clean and spacious. Great value for money in safe and convenient location. Breakfast was delicious and served personally by Margarita the owner. A caring and considerate lady. I enjoyed meeting guests from all over the world and had some amazing conversations. Thank you for supporting me.

'Warm, welcoming home in the heart of the od city'. We stayed for three nights at the Valencia Arthouse and would do it again in a heartbeat! Margarita was so warm and welcoming from the moment we first got there. We were greeted with a glass of Cava and learned all about Valencia. She gave very helpful tips on places to eat, things to see and events going on over the course of our stay. We stayed in the front bedroom and were a little concerned about noise because we like to sleep with the window open. But, it was completely silent at night. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had all sorts of amenities in case we forgot anything. Each morning we were served an amazing breakfast to keep us going on our adventures. We had yogurt, fresh fruit, muesli, meats, cheeses, breads, crepes and always an added hot dish freshly cooked. The B & B was full while we were there. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with our fellow travelers from Malta, Germany, France and England about the adventures that we had planned for the night. Margarita navigated the full house with ease, making each guest feel comfortable and attended to. Valencia Arthouse is perfectly situated in the old part of Valencia. It is just steps to many of the historic sites and buildings, as well as the beautiful park that runs through the river bed. We rented bikes and could access all parts of the city easily. We did take a taxi at night, which was inexpensive and quick.
Thank you, Margarita, for making our introduction to Valencia a wonderful experience. We will be back!

'Lovely place'. We descended with a pair of enthusiastic children on Margarita's (sp?) Lovely place. We were warmly welcomed in the breakfast /dining/sitting room is full of tiny to massive curios and art and give advice and recommendations far more useful than a guidebook or the Internet. The front room was perfect for a family, if a little noisy on the first night. Breakfast filled us for hours and was pleasantly varied. We were wonderfully looked after by our host and The Armthorpe was a perfect base for this fascinating city.
Muchos Gracias Margarita, lluego.

"A place I would recommend”. We stayed at Valencia Arthouse for almost a week and had the pleasure of meeting Margarita and her guests.Margarita is a real host, she makes people feel welcome and she is extremely helpful towards her guests. She always speaks several languages and shows real interest in people, a quality that not every host has... Her B&B is nice, we had the pleasure of using the large room on the 2nd floor and we enjoyed it! I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to explore Valencia.

"A great location and hostess". The owner, Margarita, is an excellent hostess who really looks after and cares for her guests. She is very joyful and is obviously a people person. She will greet you with a smile and all kinds of helpful information. And this will continue while you are staying there. The breakfast is an excellent array of breads, honey, fruit, yogurt, French toast, cheese, orange juice, tea, coffee, etc.
The location in the historic district of Valencia is another big plus. There is a bus stop not too far from the B&B. There is elevator access to both floors of the B&B.

"Lovely Stay near Plaza de Virgen". If you're looking for an affordable room with exceptional service, then Valencia Art House is for you! The apartment (and our room) is very clean and located near Plaza de Virgen. We had access to a shared full kitchen and lounge area. WiFi and breakfast is included with your stay. Our hostess, Margarita, provided a lovely breakfast each morning. I had a great time interacting with the other guests each morning around the breakfast table (not something you'd do in a standard hotel). Not only did Margarita provide us with maps and an overview of the city, but she also walked us down to the Fallas Festival fireworks display and other festivities. She is an amazing hostess who will make sure your stay is great.

"Awesome place". Stayed here in March and couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Situated around the corner of Plaza de Virgen, the center of Valencia old town, makes it a great starting point to explore the city. The owner, Margarita is a delightful hostess. She welcomes you with a big warmth and provide you with a map and recommendations of what to do and where to eat, and some great stories as well. She is always there to answer your questions about Valencia
.The rooms are cleaned every day and all four have a small balcony. Every morning she serves you a breakfasts to die for. Can't write enough about my stay so I leave the rest up to you to find out yourself. This is among the best B&Bs I've stayed in and then I've travelled a lot

"Great B & B, very central". This is a great B&B very close to the centre of the old part of the city. Margarita is an excellent host, who provides a great breakfast, tells a good tale and is muy simpatica, with lots of suggestions about what to see and how to get there. The room was comfortable and quiet, which is not usually true of hotels in the centro historico.

« Quirky and central for exploring the old town ». We fell in love with Valencia and that was due in some part to the accommodation we chose and its delightful hostess, Margarita. Set away from the main tourist area yet still very close, it is a perfect base for exploring the old town. Margarita is vibrant and chatty and the decor of the B&B is quirky and charming. We travelled with another couple and ended up having a whole floor between the four of us - comprising a well equipped kitchen, three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one ensuite) and a lounge. Our bedroom was very large and faced out onto the quiet street below, plus it had a small balcony - we loved it. Our friends' room was at the back of the apartment and had the ensuite bathroom. The breakfast Margarita served was colourful and sumptuous - a profusion of colourful condiments, cereals, crepes, cheeses. French toast, fruits, yoghurt and breads.
Stay there, you won't regret it - value for money, great position, comfortable accommodation and a wonderful hostess.

Felt Just Like Home”. My wife and I stayed at this wonderful B&B for a week instead of an expensive hotel and we had a fabulous time. The owner, Margarita, warmly greeted us with food, champagne and maps and was excited to help us each day to maximize our exploration of Valencia. Each day she had a wonderful breakfast and was genuinely interested to help map out our plans. She helped with restaurants and even helped with our laundry. The bedroom was very private and the other guests were very polite during our stay. It was located in the older section of town, which we loved in the evening. It was very walkable to restaurants and public transportation. In conclusion, this will be the only place I stay if I get back to Valencia.

Friendly and faultness”. Have absolutely no worries about choosing to stay here. There are two main bedrooms and a smaller third room. The bigger of the two main rooms has the best outlook. The other is smaller and has a lesser view but is ensuite. Both are very comfortable and well-furnished and are cleaned daily. Your hostess Margarita couldn't be friendlier and is more than happy to give advice on places to see, restaurants, etc, and I suspect that what she doesn't know about Valencia is not worth knowing anyway. Breakfast is a delight.

"Fabulous stay".What a find!
Valencia Arthouse has a quirky, ethnic feel. Spotlessly clean and in a perfect, central situation in the beautiful old city of Valencia.
Our lovely hostess Margarita, could not have been more helpful. Cava and Valencian nibbles on arrival was a wonderful surprise and a terrific start to our stay whilst breakfast proved to be a delicious variety of Spanish tortilla, fresh fruit and yogurt, to name but two of the many different items on the breakfast table.
Margarita provided us with maps and recommendations of what to do and where to eat and was always on hand to answer any questions about Valencia.
Having arranged our taxi to the airport, Margarita even provided us with a delicious take away breakfast as we had an early departure!
If I am fortunate enough to return to Valencia, I would not look at staying anywhere else.
Thank you Margarita for helping to make our stay in Valencia such a delight.

"A wonderful, authentic and charming place in the quiet old town". My father and I spent two nights at this lovely place. Margarita is an excellent host and gave us very nice and authentic tips for exploring the city. The breakfast buffet was a dream and done with a lot of love! We would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone who likes something charming, original and warmhearted

A pleasant surprise hiding!”. I stayed at the Valencia Arthouse for 5 nights. My first time staying in a B&B and I have to say Margarita made it all that special. Beautiful and spacious room, private bathroom and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was a feast fit for kings. Tastes and tones are ever so highlighted from Margaritas travels around the world. Her knowledge of the city and good rapport with restaurants help get you a table in the best restaurants in town. I highly recommend staying at the Valencia Arthouse when visiting Valencia, it is truly a "home away from home".

"A wonderful birthday surprise". What a wonderful way to star our Spain adventures with Margarita in her B&B. Margarita surprised us with a homemade birthday cake and cava for my 61st birthday! The B&B was decorated with fascinating objects and art from around the world. Our room was spacious with access to a kitchen. Comfortable and clean and a great place to recover from jet lag. Margarita fixed a delicious fresh breakfast that we enjoyed with the other guest - fruit, cheeses, cafe con leche and fresh juices. The location was very convenient - it's located in old town. Margarita is lovely and so gracious to her guests. she even told our dinner restaurant about my birthday and they prepared a surprise! We highly recommend!

"A long week end in the beautiful and sunny Valencia". What a nice welcome at Valencia Arthouse B & B. We received a welcome drink and delicious pancakes. The sweet hostess Margaret gave us lots of tips about the city. The B & B is located in the old city centre. Rooms are beautiful and clean. We found no negative sides.

June 2016, Rotterdam, Netherlands

The perfect place to stay in Valencia!”. Arthouse B&B is conveniently located in the old centre, with all the sights within easy walking distance. Margarita is the most wonderful hostess, knowledgable and helpful. She created a welcoming atmosphere, with tastefully decorated rooms, and an absolutely delicious breakfast. Fully recommended, we'd come back without hesitation.

"Viva Margarita". Our visit to Valencia simply would not have been the same without Margarita's unstinting hospitality at her Valencia Arthouse. Comfortable and stylish accommodation, breakfasts to die for and slap bang in the middle of the historic centre - perfect!

"Very unusual but very delighted B&B". The Valencia Arthouse is billed as being the best B&B in the historical centre of Valencia. I have no knowledge of any others so can’t compare it but I would think it’s probably quite correct. We followed Margarita’s excellent instructions on how to find her apartment and she gave us a very warm welcome, supplying us with lots of good advice, notes and a map. Her apartments are quite idiosyncratic so if you like anonymous, bland ‘chain’ hotels then this isn’t for you but if you enjoy a different décor together with the chance of talking to other travellers over an amazing array at the breakfast table with endless coffee supplied (in our few days we met an American, a Swiss, a Belgian couple, a French couple, a Spanish family – and another English couple), then you’ll enjoy staying with her.

"Highly recommended". From the time of our arrival Margarita looked after our every need - comfortable bedroom, spotlessly clean, best breakfasts we've had in a B&B, great restaurant and visitor recommendations.
The location of the B&B is ideal for sight-seeing and we were impressed by the metro system, nearness from the airport and the friendly and, for us, cheap taxi trips.Valencia has lots to offer for a city break and we will certainly return. Thanks once again Margarita.

"Unusual and  bed and central breakfast ". We stayed here for three nights in May. The taxi driver had some trouble finding the B & B, but Margarita had given us her mobile number and we arrived eventually. Margarita offered us a glass of cava and some cinnamon cakes on arrival, very welcome after our journey. Our room was ensuite with the use of a kitchen and a balcony, everything very comfortable and clean. Margarita was very friendly and helped us find our way around, and we used her recommendations for local places to eat, and we weren't disappointed. The B & B is well situated, being in the old city, and within walking distance of plenty of places of interest, lovely squares and the Turia (the old river bed which is now a park). Taxis, buses, trams and the metro are all nearby. We very much enjoyed our stay, and liked Valencia very much. However, if we hadn't been staying in the old city, we may have felt differently as everything of interest would have been further away.

"Smiles all round". Our warmest thanks to Margarita for her superb hospitality. From the moment of arrival to our departure in the wee hours armed with a delicious doggy bag we were suerbly looked after. But our main delight was the ambience - one could relish in every corner spotting gems of film and theatre history as well as just enjoy the beauty of the decor overall. A very special stay.

"Excellent central bed and breakfast". We had the pleasure of staying in Margarita's apartment for 4 nights. The first 2 nights we were extremely lucky to have the whole apartment to ourselves. We were in the large triple room at the front of the property which was very spacious and sole use of a bathroom which was not ensuite. There is also a kitchen with tea/ coffee making facilities and a refrigerator. There was no noise despite being so close to the Cathedral and the Plaza Del Virgen.
This apartment was above Margarita's own apartment where we went every morning for a fantastic breakfast. Margarita on arrival gave us maps and a list of recommended restaurants all very close by.

A warm welcome and local knowledge”. Welcomed and made to feel welcome by Margarita. The guest rooms are in a separate apartment, one floor above, and breakfast is served every day in Margarita's own apartment. The Arthouse is in an ideal central location. The owner is keen to share local knowledge that just makes the stay all the more enjoyable. This is not an hotel; the rooms are clean and comfortable but there are no hotel services. An excellent base for visiting a lovely city.

February 2016, Sussex city, NJ

"Best Breakfast in Spain". B&Bs are the best way to travel if you want to learn about the people of the country you are visiting. Margarita shared fascinating stories of her family's life in Spain and Spanish history in general. Valencia Arthouse is a mini museum of art, natural history, and historical objects that lend themselves to stimulating conversation. All this is shared in a spacious, clean home with a comfy bed in the heart of Valencia. Each day starts off with a homemade breakfast of fresh fruit, Spanish omelet, Margarita's special 'French Toast', plus an assortment of local honeys to name just a few items in this delicious breakfast spread. Valencia Arthouse is a gem and Margarita is a bubbly, knowledgeable, and caring hostess!

Recommended Review for Valencia ArthouseYelp.com, 19 December 2013
There are three things that make the Valencia Arthouse fantastic. The first is Margarita, the B&B's owner. Margarita is genuinely a people-person.  She loves to chat; she is a smart, creative, interesting person; and she knows the city inside-and-out. When you arrive at the Arthouse, she is waiting for you with drinks, and she takes out a map of the city and spends at least half an hour orienting you. She points out major cultural sites, offers restaurant advice, and tells you how to get around.  And she customizes this information - we told her we liked Moroccan food, and she recommended Dukala, which we loved.  The second is breakfast.  Breakfast at the Art House is an event.  Margarita puts out an amazing spread - bread, cheese, crushed tomato, french toast, pancakes, figs, dates, cereal, honey, coffee, tea, juice. It's a decadent, lovely way to start the morning.  Breakfast is also served in a stunning room which houses Margarita's art collection (or at least some of it!). It's the kind of room that makes you feel inspired just sitting there. The third is location. The Arthouse is right near the Cathedral, steps to the 95 bus (which transports you to City of Arts and Sciences), steps to Plaza de la Reina and Plaza de los Virgenes. In short, you can walk everywhere if you stay with Margarita.
If you are looking for a really unique experience, check out the Art House. It's not the anonymous experience of staying in a big hotel - it's an intimate, homey experience. I can honestly say that our experience of Valencia was shaped by Margarita's advice and her warmth.

At the Valencia Arthouse, you are welcome like friends. Margarita, the B&B's owner, actually ensures that you feel good. She gave us many details on the current activities, a real plus. The B & B overlooks a pretty small square:  very Spanish, what we were looking for. As its name suggests, its decoration is original and artistic, we would say between Spanish and South American. The rooms are quite comfortable, with a lovely little balcony. We did love the ambiance along with the delicious and hearty breakfasts. The warm atmosphere of the Valencia Arthouse definitely contributed a lot to make us spend a very good stay in Valencia. Monick R.
